Original Gravity Public House

Located in the heart of Downtown San Jose, Original Gravity offers 35 rotating taps of incredible beer, cider & mead as well as a small but mighty bottle selection. We are constantly seeking out the best and brightest beer has to offer with attention to local and independently owned breweries.

In addition to our rotating beer selection, we offer locally produced and house made sausages, duck fat french fries, artisan grilled cheese sandwiches and regularly feature specialty pop up menus to keep it fresh. Endless pairing possibilities.

Original Gravity prides itself on a welcoming environment for beer geeks to the craft curious alike so whether you are passionate about beer or just getting into it, we are here for you.

Order your food and drinks at the bar, take a number and we will find you with the grub. Sun - Wed expect to find a seat, Thurs - Sat get busy and our tables and beer garden fill up fast. Seating is first come first served though we take reservations for groups of 10 or more, 24 hours in advance.

We take our beer selection very seriously but always aim to have a fun and informed conversation about it. We aim to share without snobbery and find something new and exciting for you each and every time.

Original Gravity Annual Costume Contest

Join us for our Annual Original Gravity Costume Contest! Judged by the staff, we look for Scariest, Funniest and Most Original. The winner of each category gets a meal and draft beer of choice on us! Come by in your costume and we will announce the winners at 9pm sharp.

We will also be pouring some extremely fun beers for this one, on the spookiest night of the week this event is surely not to missed!
