Original Gravity Public House

Located in the heart of Downtown San Jose, Original Gravity offers 35 rotating taps of incredible craft beer, ciders and meads as well as a small but mighty bottle selection. We are constantly seeking out the best and brightest craft beer has to offer. Focusing our list loosely on 80% domestic and 20% imported craft, with attention to seasonal offerings as well. Local or abroad chances are you'll find it here.

Original Gravity prides itself on a welcoming environment for beer geeks to the craft curious alike. Order food and drinks at the bar, take a number, grab your beverage and a seat and we will find you with the grub.

Sun - Wed expect to find a seat, Thurs - Sat get pretty busy and our tables and our beer garden fill up fast. First come first serve, reservations for groups of 10 or more 24 hours in advance depending on availability.

We take craft beer very seriously but always aim to have a fun and informative conversation about it. We aim to share and teach without the snobbery, and find something new and exciting for you each and every time.

SF Beer Week 2015: Woodfour Brewing Company Meet the Brewer/South Bay Launch!

We are extremely pleased to introduce to the South Bay, Sebastopol's Woodfour Brewing Company.

Located in the wine mecca of Sonoma County, Woodfour was founded by Head Brewer Seth Wood and Olav Vier, two very passionate beer enthusiasts. Together they are creating stellar wood aged saisons, sours and various other hand crafted ales and lagers. Both will be on site to discuss with you their unique vision and approach to brewing.

We will be pouring through the amazing lineup of Woodfour beers and also unveiling one off specialties for this special SF Beer Week event. There will also be a menu of small plate food pairings created for the evening to accompany the excellent beer offerings.

We look forward to showing you something new and exciting, we would love for you to join us.

SF Beer Week 2015: Against the Grain Meet the Brewer / Owner

Come meet some of Louisville's craft beer finest, Jerry (Co-Owner) and Sam (Head Brewer) from Kentucky's Against the Grain Brewery and Smokehouse!

Brewing American inspired beer with a strong Southern influence since 2012, these guys are truly making beer like no one else.

Come give them a warm Downtown San Jose welcome as we pour 5 stellar beers from their prolific catalog. We will also be serving our infamous OG Burgers as well as some awesome smoked meat offerings to pair with all the beers.

Come join Almanac Beer Co. and 2 other Downtown San Jose Craft Beer destinations for an epic Sour Pub Crawl!

Original Gravity along with Good Karma and ISO: Beers will be releasing one of their 3 brand new sour beers (Devil's Advocate, Valley of the Heart's Delight (Batch 2) and Farmer's Reserve: Blueberry) for you to taste and consider.

As if that weren't enough to get you out, each stop will also be pulling from their respective cellars 2 other vintage Almanac sour offerings on draft from their stellar catalog!

All stops are offering 3oz samples and flights of each offering for $3 of each beer or $9 for all three.

This one should be a lot of fun and is not to be missed, you have got to taste them all!

SF Beer Week 2015: California Craft Beer Throw Down!!!

Come out for the ultimate California Craft Beer Throw Down and Blind Double IPA Contest!!!

We will be hosting 11 of California's finest Craft Beer breweries and their Owners, Brew Masters representing their Double IPA offerings for the ultimate lupulin laced showdown!

Here is how it works -

- 11 California Craft Breweries in the House
(Owners / Brewers / Reps MUST be Present)

- Each Brewery Submits their freshest batch of Double IPA for a blind tasting contest judged by YOU

- Results will be tallied by us and revealed at 9pm SHARP

Aside from the Blind Double IPA tasting and contest, we will have 2 other offerings (1 Core; 1 Specialty/Seasonal) from each brewery for you to drink as well for a total of 33 beers, along with some special surprises along the way.

Your ticket purchase also includes 1 full draft beer of your choice (Additional beers and food can be purchased at the bar). We will provide bar snacks abound as well to keep you nourished throughout the ride.

There will be brewery swag including glassware and other beer related packages to take home with you. This is also a great way for you to rub elbows and hang with some of craft beer's best and brightest!

Doors open at 6:00pm, contest begins at 7:30pm with Results unveiled at 9:00pm SHARP.

We expect this one to sell out so do not delay on getting your tickets! See you there to help us crown this year's Ultimate California Craft Champion!!!
